How long until your address ends in that word.
Vanity addresses are brute force: generate keys until one ends the way you want. Every extra letter multiplies the work by 58. Type a suffix and see the odds, the expected time on real hardware, and a live grinder running in this tab.
How rare is your own address?
Connect read-only and VanityLab reads the start and end of your address, shows the odds of matching each by chance, and whether you already own a vanity ending.
Type the ending. We do the maths.
Base58 has no 0, O, I or l. Case counts: pump and PUMP are different grinds. Case-insensitive matching is cheaper; toggle it below.

Difficulty by length
It really is just luck, at scale.
This tab generates random base58 endings and checks them against your suffix, exactly like a real grinder (minus the signing keys). Watch the counter; a 2-letter suffix lands every few seconds, 5 letters almost never in a browser.
Progress bar shows tries against the expected count.
Suffix vs prefix
Same odds either way. People read endings, so suffixes carry the brand; prefixes are easier to spot in a list.
Do it yourself, or trust the key
A vanity key someone else ground is a key someone else has. Grind locally with solana-keygen grind, or treat bought keys as mint keys only, never as wallets.
Mixed case is a tax
Allowing either case roughly halves the work per letter.
6 letters is a project
About 38 billion tries. Hours on a rig, weeks on a laptop.
Mint keys are single use
Once the coin exists the key is worthless; before that, it is the coin.
